Austin Community: Giving Thanks

The holiday season brings out the spirit of giving. Many local charities have great opportunities to help those in need through volunteering, donating, and gift programs for those who don’t have the resources. Here are some great + easy ways to give back in Austin this season:

1. Operation Blue Santa | Austin Police

How to help: There are 3 ways you can help - donate gifts to be delivered to children in need, donate financially to help run the organization and get gifts to those who need them most, or adopt a family! You can even help wrap gifts at the warehouse - your time helps them get a gift in every child’s hands in need during the Christmas season. Learn more here.

2. CommunityFirst! Village | Mobile Loaves + Fishes

How to help: Whether you want to get your hands dirty working on a property beautification project or you’d rather offer a house warming gift, make a donation, or host a fundraising event,  there’s a little something for everyone to jump in and get involved! Learn more here

3. Coats for Kids | Junior League of Austin

How to help: Drop off a gently used coat to any Jack Brown Cleaners location until the first week in December. You can find a list of their locations here. The Junior League of Austin also collects donations to provide additional coats on distribution day. Every $20 buys a new coat.

How we are Giving Back this Season:

This weekend we held a client appreciation event at Bull Creek Park and offered past clients complimentary mini photo shoots with their families. We had an absolute blast! We asked each group to bring 5 non-perishable food items to donate to the Hope Food Pantry. Thanks to everyone who participated and made this event a great success!
